A major barrier to young people moving on to positive outcomes after mainstream education is a lack of 'soft skills' defined recently as: communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork, time and self management skills, decision making, initiative taking and taking responsibility. (This list obviously has to include Computer Literacy, Maths and English)
We aim to give children and young people, who need an alternative to mainstream education, a calm, peaceful, supportive environment where they can take part in meaningful, practical activities that boost their self esteem, develop all their skills and allow them to thrive as individuals.
We are committed to offering the advice, guidance and support that young people need to move on to positive futures.
